Division Director, Marketing

About the role

AL Sydbank, the result of a merger between three banks into one of Denmark's largest, is looking for an experienced, strategic and commercially strong Division Director of Marketing. Reporting to the Area Director for Reputation & Impact, the role sits in the management group and carries significant autonomy across all organisational levels, including the board. The main office is in Aabenraa, with travel days to Copenhagen expected.

Key responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction of the bank's marketing and turn brand ambition into concrete initiatives that strengthen awareness, relevance and commercial impact across customer segments and channels
• Lead the bank's marketing team and develop a coherent marketing and brand strategy supporting the merger's business goals and local presence
• Build a strong brand, support high customer satisfaction and link marketing to commercial goals
• Cover marketing tasks such as events, sponsorships, campaigns, branding and digital channels, working closely with business units, external agencies and stakeholders
• Navigate safely in a regulated sector and an organisation undergoing change

Required profile

• Experienced leader with strong commercial understanding, able to combine strategic direction with hands-on leadership
• Marketing professional with solid experience developing brands and sales-supporting marketing across digital and physical channels
• Comfortable working with B2C and B2B marketing, budgets and external agencies
