COO – International Production Company

About the role

GML A/S, based in Southern Jutland, is looking for a COO to lead the global operations of an international production company with manufacturing in several countries and a strong position as a supplier to the wind power industry and other growth sectors. The role sits in the top management team alongside the CEO, CFO and CTO, combining operational leadership with organisational development and change management.

Key responsibilities

• Build and integrate the operational organisation across countries and production units
• Implement a common S&OP process linking market, orders, planning and capacity
• Set up a group-wide procurement function with clear processes and governance, including stronger supplier management and strategic sourcing
• Improve supply chain robustness, material flow, inventory and logistics
• Ensure stable operations, high delivery security and consistent quality across sites
• Drive improvements through standardisation, LEAN, automation and digitalisation
• Strengthen collaboration between commercial, technology and operations, and ensure smooth handovers from product development and engineering to production
• Travel internationally regularly to stay close to production sites and local teams

Required profile

• Experience from an international production company, close to operations, production, planning and supply chain
• Proven ability to deliver results, develop organisations and drive change in multi-location production companies
• Solid commercial and financial understanding, able to turn growth ambitions into operational plans on capacity, quality, delivery security and profitability
• International experience is an advantage; fluent English is required
• Degree in production, supply chain, engineering or economics, or equivalent documented results and leadership experience
• Hands-on, relationship-driven leader who thrives in production environments
