Contract Manager

About the role

Accenture's Contract Management team sits within Legal and Commercial Services and works alongside sales and delivery teams throughout the contract lifecycle, advising on negotiation, drafting and ongoing management of client contracts. The role leads contract management teams on large projects and accounts, is client-facing and builds trusted relationships with client counterparts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead contract management teams at all levels across large projects and accounts, working with account leadership and client stakeholders to understand client needs, strategy, objectives and opportunities.
• Develop contract management staff across multiple projects and accounts, supporting performance management activities.
• Identify, escalate and resolve commercial and contract risks and issues, working with leadership to secure the best outcome for all parties.
• Engage in pre-award sales activities, assist with deal shaping, negotiate commercial and contractual outcomes with sales teams and business leadership, and support contract drafting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience as a contract manager, with exposure to complex deals and proven team management experience.
• Member of World Commerce and Contracting (formerly IACCM) or National Contract Management Association (NCMA), and/or professional certification considered a plus.
• Open to working across cultures and locations worldwide, and respectful of diversity and inclusion.

Required skills

• Effective collaboration and communication with client executives at all levels, able to influence key commercial and contracting decisions.
• Significant understanding of commercial contracting regulations and principles, subcontracting practices, and commercial contracting terms and conditions.
• Ability to work well with both executives and non-executives.
