Compliance Monitoring Engineer (CAMO)

About the role

Maersk Air Cargo is looking for a Compliance Monitoring Engineer to play a key role in the compliance oversight of its CAMO activities in Copenhagen. The role works closely with CAMO management, process owners and key stakeholders, owns the compliance monitoring and audit cycle, and offers the chance to grow into Deputy Compliance Monitoring Manager responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and document CAMO audits and inspections in line with the Compliance Monitoring Programme.
• Own and maintain the CAMO audit programme, ensuring coverage of regulatory and internal requirements.
• Monitor regulatory developments, including EU Regulation 1321/2014, Part-M and Part-CAMO, and turn changes into compliance monitoring activities.
• Identify and report findings, concerns and observations, and oversee corrective actions until they are closed.
• Review CAMO manuals, procedures, contracts and technical documentation from a compliance perspective.
• Support authority, customer, supplier and partner audits, compliance investigations and Safety Management activities.
• Contribute to the development of the wider Compliance Monitoring function, including Part-IS and Ground Operations.

Required profile

• Experience in CAMO, continuing airworthiness, aircraft maintenance, aviation compliance or a similar technical aviation environment.
• Strong knowledge of EU Regulation 1321/2014, especially Part-M and Part-CAMO.
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and turn them into practical compliance and audit activities.
• Analytical, structured and confident communicator, able to challenge existing processes constructively.
• Proactive, collaborative and interested in developing expertise in broader regulatory areas such as Part-IS and Ground Operations.
