Assistant Store Manager

About the role

JD Sports is looking for an Assistant Store Manager for its store in Brunns Galleri, Aarhus. You will support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store, take ownership of several duties and help make sure the store's KPIs are met. The ideal candidate enjoys streetwear and sneakers, likes leading and motivating a team and has experience as a team leader.

Key responsibilities

• Train internal employees and draw up career plans with the Store Manager, promoting progression within the group
• Help with recruitment, new starter inductions and staff training
• Monitor the store dashboard to achieve and exceed targets and KPIs, and supervise the sales floor personally when needed
• Motivate and train the team to give courteous, considerate and responsible advice, handle customer complaints promptly and courteously, and encourage repeat business
• Use visual merchandising techniques to attract customers, ensure prices are correct, POS displays are accurate and stock is kept clean and presentable

Required profile

• Retail management experience
• Experience leading and motivating a team
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
