Application Engineer - Hygienic Process (f/m/d)

About the role

GEA Tuchenhagen, a global leader in process valve technology and hygienic components for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, is looking for an Application Engineer - Hygienic Process (f/m/d) to join at the earliest possible date. The position can be based on-site in Holstebro, Denmark or Büchen, Germany and reports to the Hiring Manager in Denmark. You will combine component technology with solutions for hygienic process systems in dairy, food, beverage and pharmaceutical production.

Key responsibilities

• Design and engineer valve solutions based on water-hydraulic support systems for hygienic liquid processing plants in the food, dairy, beverage, brewery and pharmaceutical industries
• Develop technical concepts for integrating valve technology and hydraulic systems into liquid handling and process plants
• Ensure application concepts comply with industry standards such as EHEDG and 3-A
• Supervise and carry out installation and commissioning of valves, piping systems and process skids at customer sites
• Advise engineering companies and customers on hygienic system design
• Coordinate process plant integration projects with internal teams, system integrators and external partners

Required profile

• Degree in Process or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Solid knowledge of hydraulics, valve technology and piping design
• Ideally experience in process engineering in a highly regulated environment, with a track record of planning and implementing plant systems in food, beverage, dairy, brewing or pharmaceutical industries
• Fluent English and German or Danish; additional languages are a plus
• Willingness to travel to customers and, if based in Holstebro, to Büchen about 50 days a year
