Technical Specialist, Quality & Food Safety

About the role

IFF is looking for a Technical Specialist, Quality & Food Safety to join its Functional Systems business in Brabrand, Denmark (hybrid role). The role ensures the quality, compliance and continuous improvement of products across the portfolio, working with colleagues in Quality & Food Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Product Management, R&D, Sales and Manufacturing. The position is part of the Food Ingredients business unit, which is expected to be sold to CVC Capital Partners in the first half of 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in new product development to meet quality and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate and implement customer-specific quality and technical requirements across products.
• Maintain product master data and specifications in IT systems such as SAP.
• Create, review and maintain customer-facing technical documentation, statements and specifications.
• Support Regulatory Affairs, Product Management, Sales, Application, R&D and Operations with quality and food safety.
• Investigate raw material and finished product deviations and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Handle product quality complaints and support root cause investigations.
• Support customer documentation requests, questionnaires and specification reviews.
• Take part in customer, certification and third-party audits and support raw material assessments and supplier approvals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of quality management systems and compliance processes, and give technical guidance to customers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Quality Management or a related field.
• Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management, Food Safety, Regulatory or Technical Services in the food or food ingredients industry.
• Strong analytical skills and stakeholder management, able to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal English; Danish and audit support experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP, ISO standards, BRCGS and/or FSSC 22000.
• ERP systems and digital tools; SAP knowledge is highly valued.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and handling technical product data.
