Tax Controller – Indirect Taxes

About the role
Circle K in Denmark is seeking an experienced Tax Controller to join its Global Tax team. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of indirect taxes, working closely with the Tax Manager in Denmark and the Shared Service Centre in Riga.
Key responsibilities
- Review tax returns prepared by the Shared Service Centre.
- Support preparation and filing of excise duty returns.
- Conduct internal controls and suggest simplifications.
- Assist with indirect tax matters and participate in related projects.
- Help with internal or external audits of indirect taxes in Denmark.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting indirect taxes.
- Provide general assistance to the Tax Manager.
Required profile
- Higher education in finance, accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting with a focus on VAT or indirect taxes.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to handle large data sets.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- High ethical standards, integrity and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Required skills
- Knowledge of VAT and excise duty reporting requirements.
- Experience with indirect tax compliance and audit support.
