Store Manager - Strøget Branch, Copenhagen

About the role

JD Sports is looking for a Store Manager for its Strøget branch in Copenhagen. The manager leads the store team, drives sales and maximises store profitability while delivering top-class customer service and training staff to develop in sales. The role also covers compliance, health and safety, recruitment, visual merchandising and customer complaints.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure company policy, branch rules, security and standing orders, as well as applicable legislation, are followed at all times.
• Train and develop internal staff, promote progression within the group and lead recruitment, inductions and training.
• Use the store dashboard to analyse KPIs and help the team meet and exceed targets.
• Maintain adequate floor coverage during peak and off-peak periods and keep the branch clean and tidy.
• Handle enquiries and complaints promptly, courteously and objectively, and support customer retention through courteous, competent service.
• Keep staff appearance and uniform standards in line with company policy.
• Follow the weekly visual merchandising brief, keep new and advertised products visible and update mannequins, displays and windows.
• Keep expenses to a minimum and own administrative responsibilities such as retail development, vacant premises, scheduling and local trading patterns.

Required profile

• Retail management experience.
• Experience leading and motivating a team.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
