Senior Software Engineer, Aggregation & Search

About the role

The engineering team at Chainalysis tackles the hardest technical challenges to build trust in cryptocurrencies. We are creating a flexible, scalable data platform for blockchain, cryptocurrency, and web3, and need a Senior Software Engineer with deep PostgreSQL and Java Spring Boot expertise to drive high‑impact projects at massive scale.

Key responsibilities

• Own and improve the Java data‑ingest service for enriched transfers generation and aggregations.
• Design and tune PostgreSQL transaction batching, indexing, and replication strategies.
• Contribute to next‑generation architecture, run PoCs, benchmark latency, and write ADRs.
• Build and maintain scalable API services on AWS handling thousands of requests per second.
• Automate network onboarding end‑to‑end and integrate LLM‑based tools for operational automation.
• Debug production issues across microservices, define SLOs, and participate in on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• 8+ years of production experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, query optimization, partitioning, replication, high‑throughput workloads).
• 8+ years building Java Spring Boot services (REST APIs, JDBC, connection pooling, JVM profiling).
• Experience with Kafka or equivalent streaming systems.
• Track record operating distributed systems on AWS (microservices, Terraform).
• Strong cross‑system debugging skills using metrics and logs.
• Comfort with AI‑assisted development and agentic engineering practices.
