Senior Data Architect

About the role

Netcompany is looking for a Senior Data Architect in its Data Management team in Copenhagen. The team helps customers develop and run their businesses on data and knowledge, and the role sits at the intersection of technology and business. You will design technical solutions to collect, process, model, analyse, distribute and visualise data, and take ownership of data architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, model and build data solutions such as data platforms, data warehouse architecture and business intelligence applications.
• Co-own data architecture, define technical direction and drive customer advisory, data strategy and business analysis together with the project team and the customer.
• Lead and mentor team members, prioritise work and give technical guidance.
• Get up to speed quickly on existing solutions and take ownership of them, while defining the right path forward for new projects.
• Perform technical quality assurance and reviews of data models, ETL processes and solution architecture.

Required profile

• Degree in data science, software engineering, computer science, mathematical modelling or a similar field, with solid professional experience in data management.
• Deep technical expertise and a structured, logical approach to solving complex data challenges.
• Comfortable in a leadership role guiding people and technical direction, in a collaborative, development-oriented environment.
• Full professional proficiency in Danish and English (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Data modelling, ETL/ELT and data warehousing.
• Languages and tools such as SQL, Python, R, Fabric, Snowflake, dbt, Microsoft SQL Server, Databricks, Dagster, Terraform and others.
• Business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
