Marine Labour Relations Manager

About the role

Maersk is seeking an experienced Marine Labour Relations Manager to join the Global Marine Labour Relations team in Copenhagen. You will help create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for over 13,000 seafaring colleagues across 34 nations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive investigations of harassment, bullying and discrimination complaints in a respectful, thorough, and strategic manner.
• Participate in updating and developing processes and procedures related to labour relations.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, international regulations and local legislation.
• Draft and optimise standard document templates for global marine labour relations.
• Lead or support ad‑hoc compliance projects within the Marine People & Culture organisation.
• Conduct global benchmarking of wage scales for seafarers.

Required profile

• Experience handling employee complaint cases and disciplinary outcomes.
• Ability to implement compliance measures operationally.
• Background in complex global labour relations, including managing CBAs and wage scales.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Legal expertise, preferably in a maritime setting.
• Knowledge of the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) is an advantage.
