Indirect Tax Technology Professional – Tax Tech & Operations

About the role

EY’s Tax Technology and Operations team in Copenhagen is looking for an Indirect Tax Technology Professional to help clients navigate digital tax transformation. You will work at the intersection of indirect taxation (VAT, GST) and modern SAP solutions, supporting the design and delivery of end‑to‑end tax and e‑invoicing compliance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client workshops to capture and document tax and e‑invoicing requirements.
• Create and maintain design documentation for tax compliance and e‑invoicing solutions.
• Analyse country‑specific tax regulations and translate them into technical specifications.
• Advise clients on suitable technology platforms for indirect tax and e‑invoicing.
• Collaborate with SAP developers, architects and delivery teams to implement SAP e‑invoicing solutions.
• Support user acceptance testing and coordinate with vendors for seamless integration.
• Stay up‑to‑date with tax technology trends such as VIDA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Taxation, Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in indirect taxation (VAT, GST) and with large multinational clients.
• Proven knowledge of e‑invoicing regulations and frameworks (e.g., Peppol).
• Project management experience, preferably using agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.

Required skills

• SAP DRC (mandatory).
• General SAP ERP knowledge.
• Experience with e‑invoicing platforms and standards (Peppol, country‑specific systems).
• Familiarity with tax technology solutions such as Avalara, Vertex, Thomson Reuters.
• Knowledge of VIDA tax technology.
