About the role

As an experienced software developer you will join the Centre for CNE Operations, a highly specialised unit within PET, to create and maintain cutting‑edge cyber tools used in real‑world operations against state and criminal threats. You will work on advanced digital agents that collect hard‑to‑obtain data and enable capabilities that were previously thought impossible.

Key responsibilities

• Develop specialised offensive cyber capabilities for national and international missions.
• Design, implement and maintain complex software projects across multiple teams.
• Collaborate closely with other secret units on joint operations.
• Build and evolve advanced digital agents for data acquisition on various platforms.

Required profile

• Technically curious, methodical and solution‑oriented.
• Strong team spirit, putting the collective success before personal recognition.
• Ability to dive deep into advanced technologies and turn ideas into working software.
• Willingness to learn Rust or already proficient, with experience in languages such as Go, C/C++ or Zig.

Required skills

• Rust (or strong desire to master it).
• Go, C, C++ or Zig programming experience.
• Solid knowledge of Linux environments.
• Version control (Git) and agile development practices.
• Familiarity with Android development, code review processes and SELinux is a plus.
