Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

Maersk Container Industry is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software for advanced, energy‑efficient reefer technology. You will work across the full product lifecycle, from concept through field deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and test new software features for embedded systems.
• Maintain and enhance existing software, ensuring high quality and reliability.
• Document code according to development standards and support test engineers.
• Participate in continuous improvement and best‑practice initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong interpersonal skills, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge in C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience with real‑time operating systems (RTOS).
• Proficiency in Python.
• Familiarity with Git and Agile (Scrum) environments.
