Control System Engineer

About the role

Maersk Container Industry is seeking a Control System Engineer to design and specify control strategies for advanced refrigeration systems. You will work closely with embedded software engineers to translate system behaviour into clear requirements and ensure solutions meet specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Translate system behaviour and performance requirements into specifications for the embedded software team.
• Define and specify new system features and control strategies for the refrigeration controller.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, external partners, and service/quality teams.
• Support troubleshooting and technical problem‑solving.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Control or Software Engineering (B.Sc. or M.Sc.).
• Strong analytical and systems‑thinking mindset.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Danish is a plus.
• Structured, curious, quality‑conscious and results‑driven.

Required skills

• Experience with control systems engineering.
• Proficiency in modelling and simulation tools such as Simulink.
• Knowledge of control design, estimation and system‑level thinking.
• Understanding of thermodynamic systems (advantage).
