Department Head, MEP Division – Roskilde

About the role

Rambøll is looking for a department head for its MEP division in Roskilde, a central office just five minutes' walk from the station. You will join a strong local building environment with two departments, KON and MEP, where about 40 construction workers, engineers, installers, designers, project managers and assistants work closely together. The office covers new builds, renovation and transformation projects, from housing, schools and shopping centres to commercial buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Set the direction of the department and create the best conditions for employees, customers and business
• Lead, inspire and develop staff through present, inclusive and clear leadership
• Drive business development, sales activities and tendering with a focus on profitable growth
• Ensure a healthy business and support high-quality project delivery in close cooperation with project managers and subject experts
• Work across Rambøll to share knowledge and allocate resources effectively
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and strengthen the company's market position
• Recruit new staff who strengthen the department's competence and capacity

Required profile

• Several years of experience in a leading role in consulting and/or contracting, with proven experience of leading people and delivering results
• A strong installation engineering profile in either plumbing/heating or electrical, with a solid understanding of MEP complexity and its interaction with other disciplines
• Experience with strategy, budgeting and target management
• Commercially sound, with experience in business development, sales and business plans focused on profitable growth
• Natural focus on leadership, well-being and development, and on sharing knowledge and collaboration
