Chief Human Resources Officer

About the role

BOLIA, a Scandinavian design company creating furniture, lighting, rugs and accessories, is recruiting a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) based in Aarhus. The CHRO holds overall responsibility for the global People & Development agenda and sits in the Executive Management Team alongside the CEO and the Board of Directors. The role covers recruitment, talent and leadership development, training, HR operations, employee engagement and the workplace environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the global People & Development strategy, aligned with growth ambitions and long-term business objectives.
• Act as a strategic partner to the organisation, turning business priorities into a people, leadership and culture agenda.
• Drive recruitment and training for headquarters positions and for new market openings.
• Strengthen the company's culture and values so that the organisation remains engaged, motivated and customer-focused.
• Lead and develop the global People & Development function, building scalable structures, processes and capabilities.
• Drive talent attraction, leadership development and succession initiatives.
• Support international growth through people initiatives for new market entries, store openings and organisational development.
• Act as an ambassador for the company's culture and values, fostering collaboration internally and with external partners.

Required profile

• A relevant master's degree in human resources, organisational development, business economics or a related field.
• Substantial leadership experience in an international organisation; ideally from retail, consumer goods, lifestyle or another customer-centric business with multiple markets.
• Proven track record of turning strategy, culture and business objectives into concrete people initiatives.
• Comfortable at both strategic and operational levels, with a hands-on working style.
• Strong stakeholder management, collaboration and commercial mind-set.
