Automation & Quality Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Backend API Automation Tester to ensure our e‑commerce platform and its services meet the highest standards of functionality, performance, and reliability. Based in Copenhagen, you will help shape the quality of our digital ecosystem by building robust automation frameworks and validating secure service‑to‑service communication.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks for backend services and APIs.
• Create and execute API tests using Playwright, covering RESTful and SOAP endpoints.
• Automate authentication flows such as OAuth, JWT, and API keys.
• Validate API functionality, performance, and schema integrity (JSON/XML).
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers for defect resolution.
• Develop comprehensive test cases, plans and data strategies, ensuring high coverage and clear documentation.
• Perform regression, smoke and integration testing to support frequent releases.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in backend/API testing.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and proactive approach to optimizing automation frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business requirements.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like Jira.
