About the role

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Investigations team, you will drive the design, development, and maintenance of customer‑facing features and the underlying APIs that power Chainalysis’ blockchain analytics platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture and development of cloud‑native data ingest and aggregation pipelines processing gigabytes of data daily.
• Own and scale high‑performance services on AWS handling thousands of requests per second.
• Guide the team’s shift to a streaming architecture and set best‑practice standards.
• Drive the direction and enablement of the graphing platform used across multiple products.
• Debug and resolve production issues across distributed systems.
• Mentor engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and implementing cloud‑native services on major providers such as AWS or GCP.
• Strong track record of mentoring engineers and leading cross‑team projects.
• Ability to align technical execution with product and design partners, with a bias toward shipping.
• Deep experience with object‑oriented programming and complex backend/frontend systems.
• Experience integrating AI into customer‑facing products or infrastructure is a plus.
