Network Engineer

About the role

Netcompany Operations runs business- and mission-critical application operations and infrastructure management across two modern data centers. As a Network Engineer you will join the Network Team within the Infrastructure organization and take responsibility for the daily operation and maintenance of Netcompany's Cisco-based network infrastructure, as well as network administration, deployment, troubleshooting and expansion of customer solutions. The work covers LAN, Wi-Fi and network infrastructure in the data centers.

Key responsibilities

• Expand and maintain the global enterprise LAN infrastructure.
• Manage network security solutions, including firewalls and related security technologies.
• Maintain network monitoring and log management platforms using Orion and Splunk.
• Work with routing, switching, Cisco ACI and wireless LAN controller (WLC) technologies.
• Collaborate with specialists in server, storage and backup technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, network engineering, information technology or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
• A few years of experience in a similar role focused on network operations and administration.
• Full professional proficiency in Danish and English (written and spoken).
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance from the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET).

Required skills

• Cisco infrastructure: ACI, ASR and ISR edge routers, UCS server environments.
• Network security: Cisco and Fortinet firewalls, intrusion prevention (IPS) and DDoS protection.
• Orion and Splunk for monitoring and log management.
