Teaching Assistant Professor – Companion Animal Cardiology

About the role

The University of Copenhagen invites applications for a full‑time Teaching Assistant Professor in Companion Animal Cardiology. The position starts on 1 November 2026 (or as soon as possible) and is dedicated to planning and delivering clinical teaching for veterinary and postgraduate students.

Key responsibilities

• Design, organise and conduct clinical teaching sessions in companion animal cardiology.
• Supervise veterinary students and master’s candidates during hands‑on training.
• Develop teaching materials, case studies and assessment tools.
• Collaborate with the Diagnostic Imaging, Surgery and Clinical Specialties group to integrate imaging technologies into curricula.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of the teaching programme.

Required profile

• Veterinary specialist qualification in companion animal cardiology.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching or education.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Required skills

• Echocardiography, including 3D and strain imaging.
• Holter monitoring.
• Interventional cardiology procedures.
