About the role

G4S is looking for motivated security guards to work on Strøget, the main shopping street in Copenhagen. The position involves both day and evening shifts, providing a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol the designated area in uniform or suit, maintaining a visible security presence.
• Conduct regular inspections of retail premises and report any irregularities.
• Respond quickly to theft incidents, relay descriptions via radio, and coordinate with colleagues.
• Monitor known offenders and suspicious behaviour while ensuring a safe atmosphere for shoppers and staff.

Required profile

• Service‑oriented, approachable, and able to make decisive decisions.
• Good situational awareness, punctual, well‑presented, and physically fit.
• Basic spoken English and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Clean criminal record and successful completion of the AMU "basic guard" course (or equivalent police/military police training).

Required skills

• Physical fitness to meet the prescribed test (1500 m run, 100 m sprint, push‑ups, sit‑ups, plank, etc.).
• Ability to use a radio communication system for internal coordination.
