About the role
Maersk is seeking a Senior Marine Fuels Specialist to act as the technical authority on marine fuel quality, performance and risk across its global operations. You will lead investigations, support testing of new fuels and provide guidance on compliance and operational challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Lead investigations into fuel quality, performance issues, quantity disputes and related technical matters.
- Support testing, field‑trials and implementation of conventional, bio‑ and emerging marine fuels.
- Conduct technical risk assessments for fuel sourcing and deployment, and advise on blend standards.
- Monitor fuel‑related regulations, standards and industry developments, and represent Maersk in industry forums.
Required profile
- 10+ years of experience in marine fuels markets or related energy sectors.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work with vessel crews, suppliers, laboratories and senior management.
- Proven track record of investigating and resolving complex fuel‑related technical issues.
