Senior Databricks Technology Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technology Architect specialized in Databricks to design, build and operate scalable data pipelines and data products in Copenhagen. The role will drive the implementation of a modern data mesh architecture, integrating legacy mainframe and on‑prem systems with cloud‑native platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain batch and streaming pipelines that ingest data from DB2 and SQL Server into an AWS‑based data lake.
• Implement real‑time data ingestion using Confluent Kafka and store data in Amazon S3.
• Develop transformation and analytics pipelines in Databricks following the medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Create reusable, high‑quality data products aligned with data mesh principles.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, security and governance across all pipelines.
• Collaborate with domain, platform and stakeholder teams to enable self‑serve analytics.
