Postdoctoral Researcher/Assistant Professor in Citizen Trust and Public Sector AI

About the role

The TRUST-AI project at the University of Copenhagen seeks a researcher to lead and contribute to cutting‑edge studies on citizen trust in public‑sector artificial intelligence. The position can be appointed as a Postdoctoral Researcher or an Assistant Professor, depending on the candidate’s profile and teaching needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, coordinate and implement large‑scale survey‑experimental studies on AI trust.
• Author and co‑author high‑quality research papers for top‑tier journals.
• Present findings at international conferences and engage with the broader research community.
• Contribute to public dissemination activities such as reports, op‑eds, or stakeholder talks; teaching duties may be added for contracts beyond 27 months.

Required profile

• PhD (or near completion) in Political Science, Public Administration or a related field, awarded before the start date.
• Demonstrated research interest in attitude formation, public‑sector digitalisation, or AI integration.
• Strong quantitative expertise in experimental methods, survey design and causal inference.
• Emerging publication record in international scientific journals and excellent written and spoken English.
