Network Operations Engineer

About the role

You will join a skilled team responsible for Satair’s global network infrastructure, covering Cisco ecosystem, NAC, Checkpoint firewalls, VPN, Wi‑Fi and CATO Networks SASE solutions. Based in Copenhagen, you will support ongoing modernization projects and ensure reliable, secure network services worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in IT infrastructure projects such as Cisco Meraki migration, network integration with a US subsidiary, and Zero‑Trust implementation.
• Maintain and monitor the global network, including firewalls, VPNs, Wi‑Fi, and SASE platforms.
• Create and keep up‑to‑date network documentation.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and support activities with network vendors.
• Handle daily service requests through the IT Service Management (ITSM) tool.
• Participate in on‑call rotation (approximately every 5th week) to support 24/7 operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar IT infrastructure role.
• Strong knowledge of the Cisco network ecosystem (Meraki experience is a plus).
• Hands‑on experience with firewall technologies (Checkpoint is a plus).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• IT‑related education (technician/engineer) or a Bachelor’s degree.
• Familiarity with the ITIL framework, preferably ITIL V4 Foundation certified.
• Proven experience using ITSM systems.
• Fluent written and spoken English with strong attention to detail.
