Mechanical Design Engineer – Food Processing Equipment

About the role

Join JBT Marel’s Støvring site as a Mechanical Design Engineer, working on mixers and grinders for the prepared foods division. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering innovative, robust, and cost‑effective equipment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design updates and improvements for a portfolio of food‑processing equipment.
• Ensure technical documentation is accurate, manufacturable and cost‑effective.
• Maintain compliance with safety requirements and international standards.
• Create bills of materials, assemblies, components, drawings and documentation in the 3D CAD and PDM system following the Product Development Process.
• Focus on functional, hygienic, cleaning, reliability, safety, production technology and cost aspects.
• Deliver specifications on time for customer solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or related engineering field.
• Several years of experience in engineering technical systems, preferably in the food industry.
• Proficiency with drawing tools, databases and documentation programming.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Team player able to work within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Willingness to travel 5‑10% as needed.
