Genesis I&A Consultant

About the role

Intuitive, a leader in robotic-assisted surgery, is looking for a Genesis I&A Consultant in Copenhagen. The consultant provides customers with onsite and remote consulting and educational initiatives that help them implement and maintain best-practice solutions for Intuitive medical technology, instruments and accessories. The role works closely with hospital stakeholders and Intuitive's ecosystem partners, including Sales, Advanced Failure Analysis, Marketing, Customer Services and Tech Support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop expertise in Intuitive technology, I&A reprocessing and troubleshooting, and in the handling, care and use of Intuitive instruments and accessories.
• Manage the assigned territory independently while balancing work time and schedule.
• Deliver in-person and remote consulting and education, such as staff training, program readiness advice, standardization, efficiency and high-return remediation.
• Support complex, extended customer engagements and collaborate with commercial, service and support teams to tailor solutions to hospital use patterns and protocols.
• Work with sales and failure analysis partners, run reports and analyze data, and support Genesis and Intuitive events and conferences.
• Act as a Medical Device Consultant in Austria and Germany after appropriate training, as required by law.
• Travel overnight up to 70% of the time.

Required profile

• B.S./B.A. degree preferred, or equivalent biomedical, life science or technical training.
• 5+ years of documented professional experience in healthcare or hospital management.
• National certification preferred according to regional requirements.
• Fluent in English and the local language as required.
• Minimum expectation of 24 months in the role to be eligible for an internal transition opportunity.

Required skills

• Detailed knowledge of reprocessing regulations and standards (ISO, MDR).
• Working knowledge of complex medical devices and excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with strong communication skills, able to present to groups of varying size.
• Business acumen for the CSSD and OR, and ability to handle complex, strategic assignments.
• Willingness to be flexible with work hours.
