Engineering Manager

About the role

Lead and develop a team of network engineering professionals within Maersk, a global leader in integrated logistics. Drive the evolution of enterprise network services supporting a complex global logistics organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Network Engineers and Senior Network Engineers, setting priorities, objectives, and performance expectations.
• Oversee delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN, and NFV services across regional sites.
• Coordinate technical escalations, major incident responses and manage operational demand across incidents, service requests, problem investigations, and planned changes.
• Drive lifecycle management, technical debt reduction, automation initiatives, service standardisation and reliability improvements.
• Partner with Product, Architecture and Cyber Security teams to ensure alignment with global standards and security controls.

Required profile

• Continuous improvement mindset with curiosity about work processes.
• Proven experience leading network engineering teams in large enterprises, service providers or managed‑services environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, people leadership and vendor management capabilities.

Required skills

• Enterprise LAN, WLAN, WAN and SD‑WAN technologies (routing, switching, segmentation, resilience, security, high availability).
• Experience with SD‑WAN platforms such as Cisco Catalyst SD‑WAN, Cisco Meraki or Fortinet Secure SD‑WAN.
• Network automation tools and languages: Python, Ansible, APIs, Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of SASE/SSE, cloud networking, observability and ITIL practices.
