Cost Manager – Construction and Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Ramboll's Cost Management team is growing and is looking for a Cost Manager in Copenhagen who is strong in cost calculation and budgeting. You will work on many different construction projects ranging from small to large, complex multidisciplinary ones, and help shape the team's development together with experienced Cost Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the pricing process across project phases and prepare construction budgets for small and large complex projects
• Produce well-documented cost calculations supporting high standards of technical precision and reliability
• Work closely with engineers, architects, project managers and specialists to qualify the calculations
• Prepare clear construction budgets covering all trade groups of the building
• Provide economic support and quality checks to colleagues
• Take ownership of your own projects and take part in project and sales meetings
• Ensure correct documentation of costs, risks and budgets, and contribute to improving internal processes and financial flows

Required profile

• Solid experience in a similar role, typically 6-7 years or more, e.g. as a tender manager, estimator or calculator in construction or infrastructure, preferably in turnkey contracts
• Degree in civil engineering or equivalent technical insight gained through experience
• Ability to handle cost calculations independently and communicate confidently with engineers, architects and project managers
• Commercial understanding and ability to build relationships internally and externally
• Fluent Danish, spoken and written

Required skills

• Strong calculation, budgeting and economic control of complex projects
• Understanding of construction processes and cross-disciplinary economics
• Ability to give professional leadership, coaching and mentoring within the team
