Business Development Lead – Government & Defence Logistics

About the role

Maersk is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Lead to accelerate growth in the Government & Defence logistics sector across Europe. You will work at the intersection of business development, customer engagement, solution design and strategic market development.

Key responsibilities

• Pursue new business opportunities and develop growth strategies across key European markets.
• Lead complex bids and tenders, collaborating with sales, solution design, operations, compliance, legal and finance.
• Monitor market, industry and geopolitical developments to identify new opportunities and influence product development.
• Represent Maersk at industry events, customer forums and relevant associations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Government & Defence logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain management or related commercial functions.
• Proven track record of developing and winning complex business opportunities.
• Experience managing senior stakeholder relationships and cross‑functional teams.
• Fluent in English with strong strategic and commercial mindset.
