About the role

PwC in Aarhus is looking for a motivated associate to join its bookkeeping team. You will work with small and medium‑size clients, handling classic bookkeeping and payroll tasks while supporting auditors and acting as a trusted partner for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping for assigned clients, primarily in‑house.
• Prepare periodic financial statements and, when needed, assist with budget follow‑up.
• Create reconciliations for year‑end closing.
• Report VAT and payroll tax to the tax authorities.
• Assist with payroll administration across various industries.
• Support auditors by providing accurate bookkeeping data and act as a sparring partner for both internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Broad experience as a bookkeeper, controller, audit assistant or accounting employee.
• Ability to independently manage multiple tasks throughout the day.
• Experience with e‑conomic or similar accounting systems.
• Digital mindset with willingness to adopt new technologies.
• Experience with payroll administration is a plus.
