Strategic Sourcing Project Manager

About the role

As a Strategic Sourcing Project Manager you will lead sourcing projects for elastomers, managing an annual spend of over DKK 100 million. You will support the Superior Customer Experience Program by ensuring stable, reliable deliveries to factories and distribution centers while upholding sustainability, safety, quality, and cost standards. The role blends strategic and tactical work, allowing you to shape the supplier base in line with long‑term business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing projects covering 500+ parts, developing and implementing preferred supplier strategies.
• Optimize the supplier base across cost, quality, delivery, safety, sustainability, and compliance.
• Ensure continuity and reliability of supply for production and distribution operations.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving continuous improvement and performance.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Product Management, Production, and other stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
• Analyze spend, supplier performance, and market data to identify opportunities and support fact‑based decision‑making.
• Ensure sourcing activities comply with relevant legislation, company policies, and business requirements.
• Drive initiatives that strengthen the supply chain and improve overall customer experience.

Required profile

• Self‑driven and structured procurement professional who can prioritize tasks and projects for maximum impact.
• Confident communicator who works effectively with R&D, Product Management and production stakeholders.
• Ownership‑oriented, regularly reflects and adjusts, and is motivated by personal and professional growth.

Required skills

• 5–10 years of experience in strategic procurement or sourcing, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven experience leading sourcing or cross‑functional projects and delivering measurable results.
• Experience with supplier management, supplier development, and optimizing supplier bases.
• Skilled in PPAP and Lean Six Sigma tools, used to drive measurable improvements.
• Experience working with cross‑functional stakeholders and building alignment across functions and suppliers.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); Danish is a plus.
