Solutions Architect - Hunter/Greenfield Pre-Sales

About the role

At Databricks, we are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to join our Nordics Hunter team. You will be a key technical lead for new strategic engagements in the region, with the mission to establish Databricks as the main data & AI platform on Greenfield accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy for Greenfield accounts within the Nordics, assessing customer architecture and providing strategic guidance across data & AI practitioners, business domains and C‑level stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted advisor to VP+ and BU‑level leaders, driving alignment during high‑tension negotiations and ensuring long‑term technical commitment.
• Abstract learnings from builds into reusable patterns and guidance for the wider Databricks community, anticipating objections before they surface.
• Move beyond proof of concept to deliver measurable business outcomes, using adoption signals to ensure sustained customer impact.
• Coach junior and professional Solutions Architects on technical discovery and complex use‑case prioritisation, maintaining high standards at sustained velocity.

Required profile

• 8+ years of relevant experience in technical and client‑facing roles.
• Deep expertise across the data landscape, including data engineering, data warehousing and generative AI, with an AI‑builder mindset.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and drive alignment across competing constraints and evolving goals.
• Recognised as an experienced architect capable of leading high‑complexity, multi‑account architectural discussions.
• Ability to execute through ambiguity, identifying emerging risks early and mobilising action without full information.
