Senior Sales Engineer – Majors (UK/Nordics/Netherlands)

About the role

Datadog is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to support major accounts across the UK, Nordics and the Netherlands. You will combine technical expertise with sales acumen to drive complex opportunities and help customers evaluate Datadog’s observability platform.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Sales team to articulate Datadog’s value proposition, vision and strategy to customers.
• Own technical engagement during trial phases, addressing issues and ensuring successful outcomes.
• Close complex opportunities using deep competitive knowledge, technical skill and credibility.
• Deliver product and technical briefings or presentations to potential clients.
• Maintain accurate notes and feedback in the CRM for both wins and losses.
• Proactively communicate product feedback and competitive landscape to internal teams.

Required profile

• Passionate about educating customers on observability risks and building evaluation plans.
• Strong written and oral communication skills to convey business benefits and technical advantages.
• 3+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering.
• Willingness to travel up to 45% of the time and sit up to 4 hours on client sites.
