Senior Casualty Underwriter

About the role

AIG is seeking a Senior Casualty Underwriter to join its integrated Nordic Casualty team in Copenhagen. You will support clients and brokers in Denmark and Norway while contributing to broader Nordic opportunities, leveraging expertise in product, general, and recall liability.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and structure complex General Liability, Product Liability and Recall insurance programs for multinational clients.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key brokers and clients across Denmark, Norway and the wider Nordic region.
• Analyse market trends and portfolio performance to drive profitable growth.
• Collaborate with Multinational, Claims and Risk Engineering teams to deliver seamless service.
• Mentor junior underwriters and act as a subject‑matter expert within the Nordic team.

Required profile

• Several years of senior casualty underwriting experience (GL, PL, Recall) with a proven track record on complex multinational programs.
• Strong commercial mindset, negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Analytical, structured and comfortable making independent data‑driven decisions.
• Fluent in English and a Scandinavian language (Danish preferred).
