Reserelæge – 1‑årig akutmedicinsk stilling i Akutklinikken

About the role

The department is seeking reserve doctors for a one‑year, unclassified position that combines work in the emergency department and the medical reception. The role starts on 1 November or as soon as possible thereafter.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients across a wide range of specialties, including cardiology, nephrology, endocrinology, geriatrics, pulmonology, rheumatology, neurology, ENT, ophthalmology and orthopaedics.
• Collaborate daily with physicians, nurses, physiotherapists and secretaries, and maintain telephone contact with orthopaedic surgeons at Hvidovre Hospital.
• Work flexible hours between 07:00 and 23:00, with the possibility to avoid night shifts while still being able to cover them if desired.
• Participate in the unsupervised management of emergency cases, while having immediate specialist backup via phone.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an emergency department is mandatory.
• Ability to work without physically present orthopaedic surgeons, relying on telephone consultation.
• Willingness to engage in a multidisciplinary team and handle a broad spectrum of acute medical conditions.
