R&D Development Engineer – Valves

About the role

As an R&D Development Engineer for valves at Alfa Laval, you will join a global valve team focused on developing new hygienic valves and optimizing the existing portfolio. You will work closely with R&D colleagues and cross‑functional partners worldwide to deliver high‑quality products.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the valve development team and the broader R&D organization on quality, process improvement, and resource optimization.
• Work closely with internal and global stakeholders to maintain a competitive valves portfolio.
• Participate in projects from initial concept through product launch, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery.
• Support development of new products and improvements to existing valves to meet market and customer requirements.

Required skills

• Mechanical engineering background with at least 5 years of product design or construction experience, preferably in hygienic equipment.
• Proficiency in CFD.
• Experience with CAD (NX preferred) and PLM systems such as Siemens NX and TeamCenter.
• Knowledge of mechanical design requirements, manufacturing methods, and applications in the hygienic industry.
