Oligonucleotide Development Scientist / Specialist

About the role

LGC Biosearch Technologies manufactures synthetic DNA and RNA oligonucleotides through chemical synthesis at its Lystrup site in Denmark, serving research institutions, biotechnology companies, hospitals and the pharmaceutical industry. It is looking for an Oligonucleotide Development Scientist / Specialist (m/f/d) to join the Technology Development Team, helping turn new scientific ideas into scalable manufacturing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise oligonucleotide manufacturing processes
• Design and run laboratory experiments and development activities
• Work on customer and co-development projects
• Analyse data, solve technical challenges and drive continuous improvement
• Support the introduction of new technologies and manufacturing capabilities
• Work with colleagues across development, manufacturing and commercial teams

Required profile

• Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related field, or equivalent hands-on laboratory experience
• Practical laboratory experience and a passion for science
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with others
• Curiosity, initiative and a desire to learn and innovate
• Recent MSc or PhD graduates in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related discipline are welcome
