Lead Consultant – Workday HCM Absence Management

About the role

The Lead Consultant will design, configure and support Workday Absence Management solutions for clients in Copenhagen. You will work across the full project lifecycle, from requirement gathering to post‑production support, ensuring scalable and compliant absence processes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct discovery workshops and gather business requirements for leave and absence processes.
• Configure and maintain absence plans, leave types, time‑off plans, accrual calculations, carryover rules, eligibility and validation rules.
• Design and implement business processes and approval workflows related to absence management.
• Integrate Absence Management with Core HCM, Time Tracking, Payroll, Benefits and third‑party systems.
• Provide functional specifications, configuration workbooks and support documentation.
• Deliver client workshops, design reviews and capability‑building sessions.
• Support production environments, resolve system issues, configuration defects and enhancement requests.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience implementing and supporting Workday Absence Management.
• Strong knowledge of Workday Core HCM, Time Tracking, Benefits and Payroll modules.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional designs and configurations.
• Experience conducting workshops and collaborating with HR and technical stakeholders.
