Head of Nordics Real Estate Investment

About the role

The Head of Nordics Real Estate Investment is responsible for leading Nuveen’s real‑estate activities across the Nordic region, driving investment performance and establishing the firm as a market leader.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate investment, portfolio and business‑development strategy for the Nordic platform in coordination with European leadership.
• Lead sourcing, underwriting and execution of housing, self‑storage, industrial and retail transactions, including acquisitions, sales and recapitalisations.
• Oversee all Nordic mandates – funds, joint ventures and separate accounts – and manage portfolio performance, reporting and strategic planning.
• Drive business development, capital‑raising and new‑fund launches while maintaining an active market profile.
• Manage and develop the Nordics team, defining resourcing strategy and fostering a high‑performing culture.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of the Nordic real‑estate market, especially housing, self‑storage, industrial and retail sectors.
• Proven track record of executing asset and corporate transactions across the risk curve.
• Strong portfolio and investment‑management experience with established industry networks.
• Graduate‑level education, RICS qualification (or equivalent) and fluency in English plus Danish and/or Swedish.

• High‑level computer literacy for analytical work.
