Country Manager – Denmark

About the role

The client, a leading global pet food manufacturer, is seeking a senior Country Manager for Denmark to lead the Scandinavian region. This position carries full P&L accountability and is focused on driving sales growth, expanding market share and strengthening brand presence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the regional sales strategy in line with European objectives, delivering revenue, profitability and market‑share targets.
• Lead high‑level negotiations with retail chains, distributors and strategic partners, and provide accurate forecasting and budget management.
• Plan and execute brand and promotional campaigns, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and leveraging consumer insights.
• Identify new business opportunities, lead product launches and represent the company at industry events.
• Maintain transparent communication with headquarters, track competitor activity and drive cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of sales leadership experience, preferably in pet food or FMCG.
• Proven ability to manage major retail and distribution accounts and work with international, cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and business‑development skills with a results‑driven mindset.
• Fluent in English, willing to travel regularly across Scandinavia and Europe, and holds a valid international driving licence.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline.
