Consultant – Activity-Based Costing & Pricing Framework for SCMU (Remote)

About the role

The United Nations Population Fund seeks a remote consultant to refresh and operationalize the Supply Chain Management Unit's Activity‑Based Costing model, conduct a workload driver assessment and develop an evidence‑based pricing framework for its end‑to‑end supply chain services.

Key responsibilities

• Review and refresh the existing Activity‑Based Costing model, updating cost pools, activities and allocation assumptions using the latest financial and operational data.
• Estimate SCMU’s full cost of doing business, distinguishing direct, indirect, fixed and variable costs and assessing funding requirements for reserves and the Third‑Party Procurement contingency fund.
• Validate people‑costs and effort assumptions, conduct a workload driver assessment and define measurable cost and activity drivers for future model updates.
• Perform market and institutional benchmarking, evaluate the adequacy of the current fee structure and recommend evidence‑based cost‑recovery and pricing arrangements for implementation in 2027.

Required profile

• Proven experience in activity‑based costing, cost modelling or financial analysis within supply chain or logistics environments.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to work with large financial, staffing and operational datasets.
• Experience collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
