Certified Structural Engineer for Complex Construction Projects

About the role

Norconsult is looking for a certified structural engineer to join its construction department in Herlev. You will play a central role in ensuring the quality and technical robustness of complex building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the certified structural engineer on construction projects.
• Quality‑check and control structural documentation.
• Advise project managers and design teams on structural risks, authority requirements and construction principles.
• Support dialogue with authorities and handle construction class and documentation requirements.
• Contribute to design or technical leadership depending on your expertise.
• Share knowledge and improve the quality of structural engineering work, influencing processes, standards and calculation methods.

Required profile

• Civil or diploma engineer with a specialization in load‑bearing structures and at least six years of relevant experience.
• Certified structural engineer for KK3 or third‑party control, alternatively KK2.
• Solid knowledge of load‑bearing concrete, steel, timber and/or foundations.
• Experience with structural calculations, design principles, detailing and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with BR18, Eurocodes and Danish practice for documentation of load‑bearing structures.
• Experience in interdisciplinary coordination on construction and civil‑engineering projects.
• Clear and constructive communication of complex technical matters.
