Assistant Airfield Manager – Thule, Denmark

About the role

V2X is looking for an Assistant Airfield Manager to support its Airfield Management Services contract at Thule, Denmark. The role involves ensuring safe and efficient airfield operations, coordinating with multiple agencies, and contributing to construction and maintenance projects.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and perform airfield management functions, especially in the absence of the Airfield Manager.
• Coordinate with aircrews, air traffic control, and base agencies to ensure safe aircraft operations in national and international airspace.
• Maintain and disseminate flight plans, NOTAMs, aeronautical charts, weather information, and navigational aid status.
• Assist aircrews with operational information, flight planning, billeting, mess, refueling, transportation, and transient aircraft maintenance.
• Inspect airfields, plan and coordinate construction projects, and ensure a safe operating environment for personnel and aircraft.
• Perform mobile airfield management functions for worldwide aircraft deployments.
• Ensure safe ground vehicle operations and pedestrian control, complying with AFI 13-213 and local Airfield Driving Instructions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Minimum three (3) years of airport management experience.
• English proficiency and a Level 3 driving licence.
• Completed Airport Management (AM) 002 Position Certification Guide (PCG) – US Air Force training.
• Completed Airport Management computer‑based training (CBT) or Advanced Distributed Learning Service.
• Solid management experience, with leadership training considered an advantage.
