Advanced Laboratory Technician - In Vivo Pharmacology

About the role

Novo Nordisk is recruiting an Advanced Laboratory Technician for its in vivo pharmacology team in Ganløse, Denmark, which works on obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The role takes end-to-end ownership of preclinical large animal studies, working closely with scientists and other laboratory technicians. The role is primarily based in Ganløse, with some cross-functional activities and meetings in Måløv.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and report preclinical pharmacology studies, mainly in large animal models
• Perform in vivo procedures such as dosing, blood sampling, tissue collection and surgical procedures, maintaining high scientific and ethical standards
• Generate high-quality data and documentation that supports decisions across research projects
• Collaborate with scientists and fellow technicians to plan studies and share knowledge
• Maintain study documentation and data records in electronic laboratory systems
• Support a safe, efficient laboratory and continuous improvement of working methods

Required profile

• Laboratory Technician degree or similar qualification in biomedical sciences, pharmacology or a related field
• Hands-on experience with in vivo studies and procedures, and with experimental data and study documentation
• Familiarity with electronic laboratory documentation systems
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Experience with large animal models is an advantage

• Annual base salary between 499,600 and 734,400 DKK depending on the level of the position
