Senior Design System Engineer

About the role

Famly is looking for a senior engineer to own and evolve its design system. You will work at the intersection of design and code, ensuring that every product feature feels consistent and coherent across the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Build production‑grade React and TypeScript components for the design system.
• Design robust component APIs, version them, and prevent breaking changes for product teams.
• Create self‑service documentation so engineers or AI agents can adopt components without assistance.
• Maintain system reliability through tests, visual regression checks, and a smooth release process.
• Audit existing components for consistency, accessibility, and reusability.
• Champion the code side of design standards, ensuring design intent survives implementation.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to provide proactive solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of frontend experience, preferably in B2B environments.
• Deep technical knowledge of design systems and component architecture.
• Strong focus on product feel, usability, and accessibility.
• Ability to balance design intent with technical feasibility.
