Compliance and Laboratory Lead

About the role

Alfa Laval is seeking a Compliance and Laboratory Lead for its Innovation Centre. The role combines responsibility for regulatory compliance with the management of laboratory operations, supporting R&D and fermentation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously update policies, procedures and risk controls to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and industry standards.
• Track regulatory changes, conduct risk assessments and audits, investigate non‑conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate compliance and laboratory records, coordinate internal and external audits and liaise with regulatory authorities.
• Lead daily laboratory operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and adherence to quality and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee equipment servicing, calibration, preventive maintenance and manage purchasing, inventory and traceability of supplies.
• Create, implement and improve laboratory procedures, test protocols and documentation systems.
• Train, supervise and support laboratory staff, monitoring performance and driving improvements.
• Coordinate R&D and innovation activities, including fermentation trials, supporting planning, execution and troubleshooting.
