Academic Employee – Molecular Lipid Metabolism Research

About the role

The Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen seeks a motivated academic employee to support cutting‑edge research on the molecular regulation of lipid metabolism. You will join the Molecular Lipid Metabolism Group, contributing to both human and pre‑clinical studies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform wet‑lab molecular biology and biochemical analyses on blood and tissue samples from cellular, rodent, and human clinical studies.
• Support ongoing research projects on an ad‑hoc basis, including data collection and documentation.
• Assist new lab members by sharing expertise and help with laboratory management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in human biology, physiology, medicine, molecular biomedicine, pharmaceutical sciences or a related field.
• Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong interest in lipid metabolism and pre‑clinical research.
• Team player with an independent and collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Western blotting
• ELISA
• Animal handling and rodent metabolic studies
• Subcutaneous and intraperitoneal drug administration
• Oral gavage in mice
• Statistical analysis using GraphPad Prism
• Data management and statistical testing
